Software Development Engineer in QA (SDEQA)

Job Responsibilities:

Responsible for the execution of QA function on Disternet product under tight time constraints with high degree of quality and accuracy
Develop QA test plans, test cases and test procedures based on the product requirements
Setup QA test environment and identify tools for execute testing on Disternet product using a combination of manual and auto testing technique
Identify and report design bugs and work closely with developers to ensure defects are correctly fixed
Writing test software, creating auto test script for QA automation
Contribute to the QA process development

Qualifications:

BS or higher degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science
5+ years of QA experience with knowledge of general QA procedures and methodologies and software development fundamentals
Strong coding and debugging skills in C/C++
Experience in configuring, installing, and troubleshooting PC/server software and hardware in a Windows and Linux environment
Good in writing scripting languages such as shell, TCL, Python, PERL, etc
Strong understanding of Linux, Window and Android operating system
Experience on GUI (WebUI) testing
Knowledge on set-top box product including technical standard - DOCSIS, IPTV will be an advantage
SQL/Oracle database experience is valuable asset
Demonstrated ability to logically and analytically troubleshoot software and ability to work under tight time constraints
Highly motivated, positive and responsible; good team player with good communication skills who can work in a collaborative environment
Demonstrated ability to prepare clear and reproducible problem reports and test results
Excellent problem solving and communication (written and verbal) skills
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills

Job Responsibilities:

Design and develop efficient embedded set-top-box software
Unit test software modules as well as to integrate with other modules developed by other developers
Document designs, issues, and other technical information for modules under his/her responsibility
Work closely with other development teams to integrate functionalities

Qualifications:

BS or higher degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science
5+ years of experience in Linux C/C++ application development experiences
1+ years of experience in Python
Network application development experience
Detailed understanding of network transport, application and security layer protocols; IP, TCP, UDP, RTSP, RTCP, SIP, HTTP/s, DLNA, uPnP, SSL and others...
Video codec application experiences

Job Responsibilities:

Individual contributor responsible for the implementation, debugging, delivery, and maintenance of GUI components

Qualifications:

Experience with GUI application development
5+ years of PHP Web development experience
Deep knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, AJAX
Knowledge of common Web technologies or migrating client server applications to the Web
Experience in developing solution for set-top box will be an asset
Strong individual contributor with a strong sense for quality of work
Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly dynamic environment and independently
Ability to create clear and detailed specifications
Excellent problem solving and communication (written and verbal) skills
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
Experience working in Flash environment, ActionScript 3.0 is an asset
